The Switch release of Diablo 3 will feature a handful of Nintendo-exclusive items, all of them based on The Legend of Zelda. After a series of teasers, rumors and leaks, Blizzard Entertainment officially confirmed today that Diablo 3: Eternal Collection - the package that includes the Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer add-ons - will come to Nintendo’s console later this year for $59.99. Amiibo, for those of you who are out of the loop or have somehow forgotten, are Nintendo’s toys to life initiative that are cheap but well made figures unlocking bonus content in compatible games. Posting on the Diablo subreddit, Reddit user JustMaku talked about how a datamine of an early copy of the game seems to suggest that Diablo themed Amiibo may be on the way. They have already, for instance, announced a special edition Switch bundle for the game-and it seems like there may be more goodies on the way, too. It’s a port of a six year old game, but the way Nintendo is treating it, you wouldn’t know it. Nintendo seems to be putting a lot of support behind the upcoming Diablo 3: Eternal Collection for the Nintendo Switch.
